Planning
1. Training and orientation for teachers, student and Parents.
Introduction to CCE- CCE was implemented in school as prescribed by CBSE guidelines. Various workshops for the same were organized in the school for the parents and the staff by Sister Swati.
2. Organization of various clubs as per the guidelines by CCE.Peace Club:
The peace club put up several beautiful programmes to inspire others to lead a truthful and harmonious life. They also celebrated thanks giving week with the Dignitaries of Chandigarh who had helped in the smooth functioning of the institution.
Reporters
Club:
A A pen is one hand,
notepad in the other, with a keen eye for detail and an intuitive brain is what
best characterizes the Carmel reporters.
From a separate photography department to exclusive writers, the club
works professionally as one sing unit. Over the years the club has expanded its
horizons and not just restricted itself within the vicinity of the school but
ventured out-from exclusively interviewing important political figures to
meeting eminent actors; from initiating internships with Indian Express to
editing special newspaper editions. It’s amazing to see their communication
skills and confidence building with each activity they do.” Mr.Ram Niwas, Home
Secretary commented, “Their enthusiasm is refreshing and makes us believe that
our country is in the right hands. Such clubs boost the morale of the students
and keep them in touch with ground realities.
Science
Club: Science classes were full of exploration of various concepts though experiments, testing and observations.
1. Eco Club:
2010 Strived to create a better
environment and create awareness amongst their fellow students by organizing
cycle rallies, tree plantations and conducting other competitions like slogan
writing, best out of waste, T-Shirt painting in which the students participated
with great zeal and enthusiasm.
2. Music Club: Songs for various occasions were taught which
students enjoyed

Songs on Mother Veronica

Christmas Carols

To prepare for various competitions.
3. Organizing and updating of various Lab.
Science labs
were updated. Charts, specimens, slides covering Syllabus of Classes 1 to 10
have been added to the Bio lab.
Microscopes repaired and a pair of
binoculars has been bought for experimental use.
Geography and Mathematics Labs too have new models, maps and charts
to facilitate learning.
Computer
Labs; An online CCE software has
been purchased and implemented for computing the results of classes 6-10 based
on the guidelines provided by CBSE under CCE pattern. The software helps in the following ways:
a)
Save
significantly on paper & printing costs.
b)
Fraud
proof: Parents can only view and print report cards at home in PDF format. No editing can be done.

CCE
Software TUNESPRAY for creating the results of classes 1-10 based on the
guidelines provided by CBSE under CCE pattern is used. The website provides
online results at www.carmelconvent.org for which passwords are provided to
parents. The results will be made available on the given specific dates.

TuneSpray has been very helpful and
supportive of our efforts at implementing the CCE system within our school and
making it a success. From the time we had decided to go in for their solution
till now, we have had excellent support all along the way.
3. The TuneSpray CCE
system is easy to understand and use, has
remarkably saved us hours of our
teacher’s efforts helping them free
up their time to dedicate to their core
tasks of teaching and mentoring
students instead of losing time on the
chore aspects of writing out
lengthy reports.
4. TuneSpray CCE has also kept abreast of
changes in the CCE framework with regard to promotion policy, CBSE Data Upload,
and other intricacies. It has helped us manage future change and has helped
streamline the whole process of assessment and make it efficient and time
saving.
5. Planning of various formatives- assignments, projects,
models, experiments etc.
6. Question Bank for each
subject for summative evaluation.
7. Collection and organizing student data – Personal, contact information,
achievements, health record.
8.
Introduction of health care facility-permanent clinic and
doctor in school, eye camp, blood donation camp, dental camp of students and
organizing various health related lectures and talks by various experts.
9. Introducing coaching classes of various sports-Baskets Ball,
Football, Lawn Tennis, and Table Tennis.
10. Planning of counseling
sessions during the year.

Planning Environmental activities.
